Delete your account

In the app — the quickest way
If you still have Event Messages installed, you can delete your account yourself in a few seconds. Nothing needs to be requested and nobody needs to approve it.
- Open Event Messages and sign in.
- Tap the sign-out arrow in the top right corner.
- Choose Delete account.
- Read the warning, then enter your password to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are returned to the sign-in screen.
If you no longer have the app
Email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done, within 30 days and usually much sooner. You do not need to reinstall anything.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your account itself — you can no longer sign in.
- Every event you subscribe to, so notifications stop on all your devices.
- Any permission you were given to post in someone else's event.
- If you organise events: your company, every event you created, all of their messages, and everyone else's subscriptions to them. Events you have paid for are deleted too, and the fee is not refunded.
- Messages you posted in other organisers' events are kept — they are that organiser's record of what their attendees were told — but your name is removed from them and replaced with "Deleted user".
What is kept, and why
Records of completed purchases. They show that money changed hands and are required for tax and accounting, so they outlive the account by law rather than by preference. They are described in our Privacy Policy, and they are never used to contact you or to rebuild an account.
This cannot be undone
There is no recovery period and no way to restore a deleted account. If you only want notifications to stop, signing out does that and leaves your account intact.
